The Rapture Theory - more

The Rapture teaching is perhaps the most dangerous teaching of our time. Why? Because it is lining up many Christians to worship satan when he comes first claiming to be Christ.

I was brought up as a Christian and have been going to church all of my life. I was taught the rapture and never questioned it because I just accepted that the pastors teaching this knew what they were talking about. I had no reason to think any different. The rapture was in the Bible and it was true.

So that's what I thought until I was convinced to take a long hard look and examine the scripture that supposedly supports this belief. You have to clear your mind of traditions and let the Bible speak. I know this can be difficult for some that have always believed this teaching and have never heard much against it. For pastors it can be especially difficult to accept anything else because they have also been taught this belief all their lives and likely have been teaching it as well for many years. I can imagine for pastors that coming to the realization that this belief is wrong would be difficult to say the least. They would have to accept that many of their friends that teach this are wrong. What would they tell their congregation? After years of teaching something with conviction and convincing many that this is true then coming to realize themselves that it is not only NOT true but a very dangerous teaching at that.

You have to take your blinders off and open your mind to what the Bible is saying and then this should be clear. I will try and make it clear as to why this teaching is so dangerous, even devastating. I even call it the doctrine of the devil.

Where does the rapture come from in scripture?  It is generally accepted by many that I Thessalonians 4:13-17 speaks of this rapture. In fact, this is the main scripture used for this teaching. Let's examine it.

Who is speaking? Paul. What is the subject? Where the dead are.

4:13: But I would not have you be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 4:14: For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him. 4:15: For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord, shall not prevent them which are asleep. 4:16: For the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a SHOUT, with the voice of the archangel, and with the TRUMP of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 4:17: Then we which are alive, and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Where are the dead? They are with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8). Why can't we that are still alive, in the flesh, prevent (precede) them that sleep? Because they are already with the Lord. This is talking about when the Lord returns on the Trump of God. This is none other than the Last trump, which is also the 7th trump.

Now, where is the rapture here? The rapture belief states that this is a secret coming of the Lord which is BEFORE satan gets here but is NOT the final coming of the Lord. This means that this is not one of the Trumps mentioned in Revelation. Strange, this sounds an awful lot like the coming of the Lord on the Last trump. Maybe that's because it IS.

Let's continue to II Thessalonians 2. Who is speaking? Paul. What is the subject? The coming of our Lord.

2:1: Now we beseech you , brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto Him. 2:2: That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter, as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 2:3: Let no man deceive you by ANY means: for that day SHALL NOT COME, except there come a falling away FIRST, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition, 2:4: Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped; so that he as God sitteth in the Temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Paul wrote this second letter to the Thessalonians quickly after his first letter because he understood that there was confusion as to when the Lord would return. Some had apparently took it as that day had already come upon them. This is why he makes it clear as to when that day will happen and he says that day, the day of the Lord, His one and only return, will not happen until there be a falling away first. What is this falling away? The words falling away in the Greek means apostasy (Greek: apostasia). What is the apostasy? According to one dictionary it is defined as; a total desertion of or departure from one's religion. It is only one possible thing and that is the falling away from the truth and believing in a lie. What is that lie? That satan is Christ! Why? Because satan comes on the 6th trump and Christ comes on the 7th. When satan gets here on the 6th trump he will convince most of the world that he is Christ and they will believe it. He IS the anti-christ, the spurious messiah.

Just a little side note here: Look up this word "anti" in the Strongs Exhaustive Concordance. It is properly translated to mean "instead of" which changes the whole thing. Satan is coming INSTEAD of Christ first to try and deceive you.

Why will Christians believe this? Because they are totally convinced that they HAVE to be removed, taken away, fly, raptured, BEFORE satan gets here. So, when satan comes FIRST it will be very easy for him to convince most of the world, including most Christians, that he is Christ and that is largely due to the rapture belief.

Do you now see why the rapture teaching is so dangerous? It is lining people up to worship satan when he gets here because he is coming FIRST to deceive you into believing that HE is Christ. What a setup! Satan is very tricky and will be VERY convincing even as Christ said in Matthew 24:11: And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many (i.e. the rapture teaching). 24:12: And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 24:13: But he that shall endure unto the END, the same shall be saved (He that WAITS for Christ and does not worship satan). 24:14: And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations (when the elect are delivered up to satan); and then shall the end come. 24:15: When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation (satan), spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand) 24:16: Then let them which are in Judea flee into the mountains: 24:17: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take anything out of his house: 24:18: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. 24:19: And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! (Woe unto them that are impregnated with the lies of satan and nurse along his teaching.) 24:20: But pray ye that your flight be NOT in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day. (Pray that you are not deceived and taken out of season with satan) 24:21: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

It will be THAT difficult to not be deceived by satan when he is here de-facto claiming to be Christ and to RAPTURE YOU AWAY.  He is coming to make you think that he is Christ and he will cause the biggest church revival the world has ever seen. He does not want to destroy the world. He wants your SOUL!

There is so much more that could be said on this topic.

If nothing else I hope this does one thing and that is to drive you deeper into Gods word!
