Is abortion ok according to the Bible?
There is no scripture that says that abortion is accepted for any reason. Including rape, incest, life of the mother, or the child being born with severe health issues.
The sixth commandment states,  Thou shalt not kill. (Exodus 20:13). The meaning of the word 'kill' in Strong's Concordance is (Hebrew: #7523 - ratsach, Greek: #5407 - phoneuo). This means to murder, which is homicide.
The question then becomes, is aborting an unborn child considered murder, because, since the child is not born yet, is it considered killing a person? The next question is, when does life begin? Is it at conception, or some point later in pregnancy, or after the child is born?
I believe the answer as to when life begins is clear from the scripture in Luke 1:34-44. Mary had just conceived (Jesus from the Holy Spirit) and when she went to tell her cousin Elizabeth, the moment that Elizabeth heard Mary at the door, her baby (John the Baptist), lept for joy in Elizabeth's womb because he knew that Mary was now carrying our Lord in her womb. Both of these babies were still in their mothers wombs, not yet born, John the Baptist six months and Jesus just days, but the spirit was already dwelling in them as John sensed the spirit of Jesus in Mary and therefore lept for joy while still in his mothers womb. This is clear that they were both alive and aware.
I believe one of the reasons for God having this scripture in the Bible is to show us that life begins at conception.
There is other scripture that suppots that life begins while still in the womb.
Jeremiah 1:5 - God said He knew Jeremiah before he was born.
Paul, who was separated from his mothers womb, was called by God to preach the word, Galatians 1:15-16.
Samson - Judges 13:5 was named before he was born.
We all have a spirit from God, which is the inward man: Ephesians 3:16, Romans 7:22.
