Did the Lord make all meat good to eat?
No, God did not make all meat good (clean) to eat.
The idea that God made all meat good (clean) to eat is often a misunderstanding of the scripture in Acts 10:9-15 where Peter was in a trance and he saw in a vision a sheet come down from heaven with all manner of four footed animals and wild animals and creeping things and fowls of the air and was told to eat them. Peter refused and said he has never eaten any thing common or unclean. The Lord then told him in 10:15 "What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common." This is where many believe that the Lord had made all meat good to eat, which is contrary to what God had said in Leviticus 11, which gives specific details of what animals are clean to eat and which are not. This food law was not changed. The Lord was showing Peter that all men are His children, not just Jews (Israelites), and that he must not consider non-Jews any less worthy.
Acts 10:28-29 describes what the Lord was trying to show Peter.
28 And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean. 29 Therefore came I unto you without gainsaying, as soon as I was sent for: I ask therefore for what intent ye have sent for me?
Eating animals that were declared unclean in Leviticus 11 is still valid today. They are not healthy and could make you sick.
