What does the Bible say about evolution?

The Bible clearly refutes the theory of evolution. Even the idea that God created everything but caused evolution to happen is not supported by scripture.

Romans 1:20-25 makes it pretty clear that to believe anything other than the creation by God, is simply foolish and unintelligent and there is no excuse for believing anything else.

Just look around you and notice that every living thing has a purpose and all living things, plant and animal, know how to reproduce. For example, how did a tree figure out that it needed to produce seeds that contain all that is needed to grow another tree which itslef will also have these same kinds of seeds when it matures? This is a rather simple example compared to some plants and animals when it comes to reproduction. Yet everything seems to know how to make more of itself without any intervention of man.

Romans 1:20 says 'For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:'

They did not give God credit for creation and became vain (foolish, wicked) in their imaginations (reasonings) and their foolish (unintelligent) heart was darkened (shadiness, obscure).

The following is from appendix 5 of the Companion Bible by E. W. Bullinger.

Creation versus Evolution
The Introduction to Genesis (and to the whole Bible) Genesis 1:1-2:3, ascribes everything to the living God, creating, making, acting, moving, and speaking. There is no room for evolution without a flat denial of devine revelation. One must be true, the other false. All God's works are pronounced "good" seven times, viz. Gen 1:4, 10, 12, 18, 21, 25, 31. They are "great", Ps 11:2, Rev 15:3. They are "wonderous", Job 37:14. They are "perfect", Deut 32:4.

When I think of evolution I try to imagine what would have to have happened for things to have become what they are today. How could everything that exists today, including life, have come from, or emerged, as they like to say, from virtually nothing, except from an atom that essentially contained all that we see (all matter) before the 'so called' big bang, when it exploded, for some reason? And from that explosion, eventually, over a long period of time, things coalesced, came together, and made all that there is in the universe. Then, over a long period of time, as things continued to form, eventually life 'emerged'. Somehow life came about when certain chemicals, substances, interacted with each other and the environment and brought about the most basic form of life. From there, the life that emerged started to become more sophisticated and eventually became more than it was at first. In other words, it 'evolved'.

There are so many holes in this theory that I don't even know where to start. For one thing, if evolution were a fact, then all stages of evolution would have to be continuous. For example, if man had evolved from monkeys then all stages of that evolution would have to be unbroken and continuous. We would have all stages of part man, part monkey, to this day. But the evidence does not support this. In fact, the evidence would be overwhelming in support of evolution for all plants and animals if evolution were true. But in reality, there is hardley a bone here and there that is found that they claim is from one of the many iterations of part man, part monkey. This lack of evidence speaks loud and clear that evolution did not happen. I will goes as far as to say that the evidence is overwhelmingly clear that evolution did not happen. Yet, this theory of evolution is taught in schools as factual science, leaving no room for the truth of  God almighty who created the universe and all that is in it, including life and all of its manifestations.

It seems to me that to believe there is no God and that everything that exists today evolved over time, requires more faith than believing in God. I seriously doubt that most of those that believe there is no God have ever thought about what they say they believe to much depth.

The idea that there is no God and that everything just evolved over time quickly runs into difficulties when trying to explain how it all happened. I have heard it said that the stories of the Bible are too fantastic to believe. Yes, there are some fantastic things that happened in the Bible, but with God nothing is impossible. However, without God, how fantastic (unbelievable) is it that all things came together, as they are, simply by evolution, which claims there is no higher power of any kind to cause things to happen, or has any purpose or reason for our existence. What a sad state of mind to think we are all here by accident and have no reason or purpose for existing.

Ask yourself, how is it that plants and animals all seem to have a purpose and know how to stay alive and keep the species going? Plants provide food for animals (and people) to sustain them. All life, plants and animals, know how to procreate. How did evolution figure this out? How do plants know how to make more of themselves with the reproduction capability built into the very seeds? Think about it!
