What is meant by "made of one blood"?

In Acts 17:26 it says:
And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

This verse is often interpreted as all people originated from the one man Adam. But this is not what this verse means. The original texts omit "blood". The "one" in this verse means either Adam or the dust of which he was formed. We have a document that shows that not all people were descended from Adam - 'Adam not the first man'.
